Becoming a PMO Analyst with the Smart Data Communications Company (DCC):

Location – North-West (Cheshire - office moving to Manchester Airport) (Occasional travel required to other DCC sites)

The successful PMO Analyst will ensure project information is captured, stored and logged in a logical clear manner in one source, and ensure best practice and governance is adhered to and monitored.

The key accountabilities for a PMO Analyst will be:

Guide the Programme / Project through the Change Delivery Methodology and CR process, providing support and challenge as required to ensure compliance to standards (including coordinating impact assessments and sign off).

Collate programme level reports and MI.

Provide insight by anticipating any questions the Executive may have.

Influence the Project Managers to improve their plans and planning approach and facilitate plan updates.

Consolidate Programme level time records into reports that summarises how time is spent, where it is spent and identify any anomalies/trends.

Capture resource demand provided by PMs, regularly facilitate updates and review the information to identify any associated risks and issues.

Your experience will include:

Broad experience of working in PMO environments utilising recognised PPM methodologies to plan, drive execution against that, manage risks and issues, and adhere to controls.

Exceptional collaboration and relationship development/management skills including with the confidence to effectively challenge others where appropriate.

Excellent communication and drafting skills with an ability to filter/interpret technical programme updates and provide clear, concise reports for non-technical audiences.

Attention to detail and an analytical ability to help propose solutions to problems and appropriately prioritise activities.

Proficient use of MS applications including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

Strong initiative and drive, self-motivated with an aptitude to work well under pressure and with low supervision.

Skills and Experiences - Desirable

Experience of working in a complex, fast moving environment, using agile and waterfall PPM techniques.

Experience of financial tracking and reporting against targets/budgets.

Experience of working within or engaging closely with central Government, Ofgem, or the Energy Sector.

Knowledge of the Smart Energy Code and DCC Licence Conditions.

Knowledge of the Smart Metering Implementation Programme and DCC’s role.

Knowledge of MS SharePoint
