About the role

Are you a hard-working maintenance engineer, who is feeling underappreciated with the support they are receiving from senior management?

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site that produces and distributes products to multiple UKs markets. You will be responsible for maintaining plant machinery including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, palletisers, shrink wrappers, mixers, dryers and more. You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;

Mechanical fault finding
Mechanical component strip and rebuild
Mechanical installation & project work
Compliance and health and safety
Critical stock control

About you

As a maintenance engineer should have the following:

Mechanically qualified – Level 3 or above (City and guilds, BTEC, NVQ)
Strong Mechanical skillset, industry background is less important.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
The ability to work within a proactive nature.

About the company

ATA is working with one of the UKs manufacturers within their field who is looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join their team in the east midlands. The company, who turn over north of 400 million per annum have over multiple manufacturing sites dotted through the UK. ATA has worked with the company for over 5 years and have placed over 40 engineers within the business. Engineers we have placed have commented on how well run the engineering function is within the company and how supportive the senior management team is.
