Description

A family run Developer with nearly 60 years’ experience in the construction industry are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Oxfordshire. This Developer produce high end, high quality traditional homes in and around Oxfordshire.

The Senior Quantity Surveyors main duties will be to manage the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, inquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively on traditional build and high-end schemes. These projects will range from 18 to 60 units around Oxfordshire. The developer is looking for someone with a property degree, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying and more at 2:1.

* Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, inquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively

* Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan

* Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports

* Excellent communication skills with all key teams within the organisation to support the end to end delivery of projects from feasibility to construction

* Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively

* Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively

* Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all the above accountability

* Contract Administration

* Be comfortable building new client relationships and networking.

Our client is offering an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join team to progress in their career with a family run developer where you will be working closely with the commercial, planning and the rest of the development team.

The salary is circa £65,000 plus generous package, fuel card and more
