Active SEN is looking for LSA

A established PRU (pupil referral unit) school based in West London is looking for a behaviour mentor/LSA for September 2019 or sooner.

The role will involve you to work with pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, ADHD, Autism and additional needs. Academic support and managing challenging behaviour are some significant responsibilities to help grow their self-esteem and confidence.

The SEN school prides itself on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. They are looking for someone to be committed and enthusiastic in order to establish positive relationships with students and offer support during schools’ day, after school, holiday activities.

In order to be considered for this job you must:

* Have previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within a Primary/Secondary School SEN environment

* Be a driven and enthusiastic individual

* Be passionate about the education and pastoral aspects of this role

* Have an excellent knowledge of child safeguarding and protection procedures and the UK National Curriculum

* Have excellent communication skills verbal and written English

* Degree education, particularly Psychology degree is desirable but not essential

* NVQ teaching assistant level 2,3,4 or equivalent
