We are currently looking to recruit a strong Head Chef or Sous Chef to support the Chef Manager at this educational site based in Surrey. Working for a food driven contract caterer, this site caters for approx. 400 consisting of pupils and staff. The kitchen provides a breakfast club service for approx. 40/50, lunch service for 400 and an after school tea service for 20-30.
As the Head Chef, you will support and assist the Chef Manager with the running of the catering operation as well as step up in their absence. There is a team of approx. 7 general assistants as well as a kitchen porter. There is ad hoc hospitality consisting of match teas, Christmas canapes and parents evenings.

The ideal candidate will
*be at Sous Chef or Head Chef level with a stable and progressive background
*ideally have worked within education
*be able to lead and manage a team ensuring a high level of service
*be a good team player as well as use your own initiative
*have good communication skills
*be genuinely passionate about good fresh food using seasonal ingredients
*be flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude

Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, term time only, this is a great opportunity for a strong Sous Chef or Head Chef to join a strong company and progress their career.
