The Role:

An industry leading organisation is looking for a Head of Freight Management to take ownership of the air, sea and road freight strategy. You will have experience in leading negotiations at international level and a proven ability of managing multiple suppliers. You will hold responsibility for a significant freight spend so should have held budgetary responsibility before and be extremely commercially aware. The Head of Freight Management will have accountability for optimising current processes so you would ideally have a track record in designing and delivering process improvement strategies.


As Head of Freight Management, you will have an in-depth understanding of UK and European transport legislation and use this expertise to deliver improvements and efficiencies across this function. You will have previous experience of managing a budget and should be able to demonstrate a commercial awareness in previous roles. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to work on a strategic level and be able to take full accountability for this function.

The Package:

The salary for the Head of Freight Management will be £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits for this position

This position will be based in South Manchester and will involve some European travel.
