Senior Performance Analyst - Operational Forecasting, capacity and management information

We are looking for a Senior Performance analyst to join our existing team in Birmingham on a permanent basis

The role

Improving operational performance is a top priority for the Legal Ombudsman this year. This role will work alongside the existing Senior Performance Analyst to provide insight and data to improve our operational management, resource allocation and performance.

The postholder will manage the strategic and tactical forecasting and capacity plans driving and embedding the full end to end business planning process across our casework.

The role is accountable for forecasting casework demand volumes, handling times, reviewing of historical trends, events and financial budget to predict future workload demand along with gross and net FTE requirements on a 12 month plus rolling week by week basis.

In addition the role will provide support to the budget setting process and to inform the recruitment pipeline, whilst providing scenario modelling for any tactical and strategic changes within the operations department. The role holder will also work alongside our existing senior performance analyst to help develop our future strategy for using data to support improvement in the regulated legal sector.

What we are looking for

You will need to be able to demonstrate at least 2 years in a forecasting and analytical role, be able to work with management team to inform corporate decision making, have experience of operational budget planning (including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis), have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

In addition you must be able to work independently and as part of the wider Operational Support Hub. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to write papers for Management Team, Board and operational management team.

It is essential that you are working in a similar role and be able to “hit the ground running”, have advanced excel skills, able to use MS Office, MS Dynamics and preferably experience of using Power BI.
