You will be responsible for scheme preparation / delivery, design / document checks, work delegation and budget allocation will be part and parcel of your role. You will also oversee the planning and management of inspections and assessments of all highways structures.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

•Successfully deliver the programme of works schedules for the financial year

•Manage, develop and oversee innovative design solutions produced by the team

•Maintain the clients budget and timescales for projects

•Maintain a good relationship with the client and stakeholders whilst being the interface between the parties involved

•Overseeing and managing scheme tasks and documents

•Managing project budgets and ensuring sustainable solutions are developed during the design stage

•Responsible for and report on project progress and financial matters within the team

•Ensure schemes deliverable comply with the relevant codes and regulations

•Mentor and develop junior staff in gaining valuable experience

We’d like to hear from you if :

•You are Chartered (ICE or IStructE)

•A Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or have other demonstrable experience working on design contracts

•Have a strong understanding of undertaking Bridge / Structural Engineering design to Eurocodes, using the DMRB & MCHW and CDM regulations

•Able to successfully take on the full technical responsibilities of a Structural Team Leader Role
