Who we are: Summit Design is a mechanical services [HVAC] design and build contractor dealing with fine dining restaurants in the West End of London. We have over 25 years experience in the design & build; service and maintenance of ventilation [supply and extract], air conditioning and plumbing & heating systems; Summit have been involved in the design and installation of building services systems in some of the most prestigious and impressive restaurants in London.

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Book Keeper to dove-tail our accounts and back office procedures. There will be telephone and email corespondence dealing with invoice queries for both sales and purchase ledgers, chasing customers for overdue payments and dealing with suppliers.

You will have your daily tasks but will also get involved with one-off projects/tasks across departments. Above all, organisation and communication is key; both written and verbal communication needs to be impeccable.

Key Responsibilities

* Sales invoicing; sales ledger; sales invoice reports;

* Purchase invoices; purchase ledger; purchase invoice reports;

* Project costing in Sage, associated reports and analysis;

* Credit control; monitoring customer credit limits; following a regular procedure for chasing outstanding payments;

* Bank reconciliation;

* Staff expenses; credit card expenses; petty cash;

* Month end procedures; producing management accounts;

* CIS payments online

* Sage Payroll; weekly wages; monthly salaries;

What we are looking for in you:

* Proven experience in a Book Keeping role previously - ideally within some kind of building services / construction sector

* Highly organised

* Able to work across multiple platforms

* Someone who likes to get the job done

* Strong written, verbal and analytical skills

* Strong Excel skills

* Keen eye for detail

* Fluent in written and verbal English

Experience: At least two year’s experience in a similar role within an accounts department

Reporting to: General Manager

Benefits

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

* 37.5 hours a week; office based

* Salary review after 1 year

* 20 days holiday [increases after 1 year] + bank holidays

* Office based in the tranquil village of Wooburn Green, Bucks
