Description

Our client is a very well-established multinational FMCG manufacturing organisation with a blue-chip client base and a true commitment to attaining world class Engineering standards

They currently seek to recruit a days’ based, dynamic and results focused Reliability Engineer, who will take total accountability for all losses and resultant improvement plans on a particular, business critical section of the factory, in a heavily proactive maintenance engineering role.

Key objective will be to improve departmental KPIs – specifically MTTR, MTBF and OEE – considering reliability, but also safety and quality losses with the aim of eliminating failure modes through robust root cause analysis, working closely with other team members to plan and schedule proactive maintenance activity and further develop a strong preventative and reliability centred maintenance culture.

We seek the following:

* A time served, mechanically biased Engineer educated to minimum ONC Level in Mechanical Engineering but with good Electrical competence (ideally now multi-skilled)

* Previous experience in a similarly proactive maintenance engineering, or reliability engineering role, with a very good understanding of modern maintenance techniques – TPM, RCA, RCM, FMEA

* Previous experience in an automated manufacturing environment (any sector considered – automotive, chemical, print, FMCG, food, nuclear), where preventative maintenance and root cause analysis on engineering failures is routinely carried out and ideally culturally embedded

* Experience of CMMS

* A strong ‘safety first’ mentality

* A thorough knowledge of root cause problem solving tools – such A3, 4M, 5Y, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, Six Sigma etc.

* An excellent portfolio of projects where there is evidence of leading engineering improvement activities to great effect

Most importantly, we seek an energetic, inquisitive, resilient, passionate and target driven ‘completer finisher’ with a passion for Engineering excellence and delivering this through people.

This is a superb opportunity for a proactive maintenance professional to join a well-established business who are not afraid of investment, in a highly visible role offering the chance and support to achieve true results and make a real mark.

Please apply by sending CVs stating current salary and location, ensuring CVs detail quantifiable achievement through Engineering initiatives.

This is a days based role, Monday – Friday though there is flexibility required to support on Engineering projects out of hours. Paid overtime will be included in the package, along with pension, life assurance and flexible start and finish times
