Our client is a long-standing successful law firm and they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier. You will take full responsibility for their legal cashiering, whilst also overseeing office functions. Primarily our client needs an experienced Legal Cashier who would also be happy to undertake other duties as part of their role. We may also be able to consider finance candidates who have worked in a professional services company.

Your role:

Undertaking reconciliations of our client accounts, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules

*

Posting client and office account transactions including dealing with disbursements

*

Maintaining the purchase ledger including liaising with suppliers

*

Completing regular bank reconciliations

*

Posting bills throughout the month as required

*

Credit control

*

Completing regular WIP reviews with the Fee Earners

*

Attending Partners meetings to take minutes

*

Liaising with team in relation to facilities, health & safety, cleaners, premises etc.

*

Planning and actioning office moves and desk swaps

*

Dealing with contract renewals in relation to utility companies

*

Raising ad-hoc queries with insurers/brokers in relation to the Office and PII

*

Assisting staff with IT/system issues

*

Updating the marketing budget and creating a new budget each year

*

Dealing with annual ICO renewal

*

Dealing with the CQS renewal on an annual basis (process usually starts in November)

*

Assisting staff with booking/arranging training

*

Overseeing HR, holiday request, staff planning and recruitment

Ideal candidate will:

*

Must have experience working as a Legal Cashier

*

Have experience of preparing client account reconciliations

*

Understand and conform to the requirements of the SRA Accounts Rules (Essential)

*

Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

*

Have experience of DPS Cashier case management software (Ideal)

*

Have excellent inter-personal skills, working collaboratively with other members of the Firm

*

Demonstrate good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
