Hays are recruiting for an independent charity that support victims of crime throughout the UK

Your new role

Provide high quality pro-active service to victims of domestic violence and abuse, and deliver a service to those at highest risk
To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
Work with survivors and other agencies to monitor the care pathway
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist
Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
Work with high risk victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe
Advocate for high risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:

Working directly with victims of domestic abuse or similar client group (s)
Experience in advocacy work and representing the needs and views of victims of domestic abuse at meetings such as MARAC, case conferences and meetings with agencies (s)
CAADA advocacy training essential
Working with volunteers

The needs of victims of domestic abuse and the impact on victims and their children(s)
The working practices of all statutory agencies (s)
The voluntary and community sector in the delivery of services to victims of domestic abuse (s)
A good understanding of the Criminal justice System and relevant Court orders
Microsoft Office packages
