Regional Facilities Manager - Herts, Essex and Norfolk - £50k

My Client is a well-established Elderly Care provider, who is looking for an experienced Regional Facilities Manager, to lead the maintenance team across multiple care homes in the Hertfordshire, Essex and Norfolk region.

You will have responsibility for 18 care homes across Herts, Essex and Norfolk so you will be required to travel frequently across all services.
As Regional Facilities Manager you will have responsibility for ensuring that day to day maintenance and repair of the Home's buildings, gardens and grounds are in accordance with the required standards.

The role -
• Carry out full annual Health & Safety Audits at each home and follow up visits to check compliance improvements.
• Liaising with Homes and health and safety manager for any non-compliances and to follow through until completion. Ensuring follow up visits as required.
• Conduct Full monthly facilities visit to each home to include inspection and observation of the home and environment, including housekeeping standards.
• Agreeing improvement plans with home managers when improvements are not met. Produce effective reports following visits which show issues found and action taken to resolve.
• Sling inspections every six months
• Carry out interviews of potential maintenance staff as needed and then work through a period of induction with appointed applicants.
• Monitoring maintenance standards and including the performance of homes maintenance staff. When standards are not met, agree improvement plans with maintenance staff and home managers.

Your experiences -
• Experience of working in a care setting and previous experience in a maintenance/caretaking role or the building profession
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures eg COSHH
• Good record keeping and Results focussed
• Practical problem solving skills and Ability to work on own initiative
• Awareness of safeguarding vulnerable adults
• Car Driver and happy travel across the 3 counties.
