A leading fostering Agency are looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. They`re looking for someone to help develop long term placements for young people who have often found themselves in multiple placements.
As an experienced Supervising Social Worker, you would have a mix of assessment/ caseload which is managed to ensure that there is enough time to carry out the role effectively and thoroughly. There are also opportunities for productivity payments if you go beyond the base performance levels providing the quality is maintained.

Essential Experience;

- Four years post qualifying social work experience that is family related, valid DBS and HCPC registration. (child centred)
- Must have three years` experience of SSW in fostering, pre-qualifying placement is not suitable.
- Employment history must include a role held for more than 18 months preferably over two years (loyal)
- Car & driving license is essential

Desirable experience;

- Real life experiences that add to their theoretical knowledge (worldly)
- Can demonstrate ability to connect with other people and pick up on social cues through observation and empathy
- Additional fostering related training especially therapeutic or counselling related training very desirable (committed to foster parent development)

Qualifications, Registrations & Experience Required

- Degree in Social Work, DipSW or equivalent. (Essential)
- Post Qualification training and development. (Desirable)
- HCPC registration. (Essential)
- Experience of working in fostering related social work and/or child social care. (Desirable)
- Experience of assessing potential foster carers. (Desirable)
- Experience in group work. (Desirable)

Physical Demands:

- Full current driving licence. (Essential)
- Unsociable hours working when on duty rota.
- A recognition and adherence to appropriate safety.
- 35-hour week and additional hours as commensurate with post and service demands, which will vary greatly at different times.
- The ability to work from home in agreement with management.
