Teachright are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistants to join an enthusiastic, professional and empathetic team at a SEMH school in Sevenoaks. This school is a progressive leader in SEMH Education and prides itself on its ability to assist young people in becoming self-aware citizens for the future. The School provides clear pathways for staff to progress and develop their educational careers.

Here at Teachright we aim to look after our Support staff and offer ongoing CPD courses and accredited courses like Team Teach and Moving and Handling.

Suitable candidates:

Suitable candidates will have an appropriate qualification in SEND or previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviours. You will have characteristics including honesty, empathy, teamwork, innovation, resilience and reliability. You will have good interpersonal and organisational skills

Key Requirements:

Full driving licence and use of own vehicle
Experience of working with challenging behaviours
Understanding of SEMH
Good level of English, Maths and ICT
Fresh ideas and a good insight into how to support pupils and teachers
Willing to learn teaching strategies and support techniques
Proactive, creative and innovative
Emotionally robust and resilient
Flexible, engaging and adaptable
