Systems Engineer AUTOMOTIVE

JOB SUMMARY:

As the Systems Engineer your role will be to support the development of the system architecture for the future generation of mild hybrid products.

Must have 10 years' experience in automotive industry, 5 year in systems related role

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage System, architectural and design requirements in Rational DOORs
Lead Functional Safety development in line with ISO 26262
Development and management of a System FMEA for mild hybrid vehicle products.
Support FMEAs development process, tools and integration into product development.
Support Mechanical and Electrical FMEAs
Support Design verification activities
Effective communication and management of issue tracking
Regular communication with the customerJOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum grade 2.1 in a Bachelors/Masters in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace engineering or similar.

Essential:

Experience of requirements elicitation, analysis and/or subsequent derivation of technical specifications. Ideally around embedded systems.
Experience gained within automotive, hybrid/electric vehicles or avionics or similar.
Creation of FMEAs using a structured tool.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Beneficial:

A background in embedded software development or electronics design would be beneficial.
Experience of Hardware-in-the-loop test specification.
Matlab, Simulink and/or Python VBA experience for management of large data sets.
Familiarity with Automotive standards and processes such as ASPICE, ISO 26262/IEC 61508
Development of test specifications for development and verification testing.
Familiarity with Automotive test standards such as LV147, LV124, LV123, ISO 16750.
Experience with APIS IQ for FMEAs or FTAs (Fault Tree Analyses).
Experience with Rational DOORs, Rational Team Concert and/or Rational Quality manager would be beneficial.
Experience with high voltage systems/testing
Experience in working with CAN/CAN FD/Vector tools/AUTOSAR
Read/write/speak German
