Position: NDT Technician – PCN Level 2

Sector: Manufacturing & Engineering

Location: Sheffield

Nicholas Associates (Engineering, Manufacturing & Technical) are recruiting on behalf of an engineering client for an NDT Technician at PCN Level 2 to join their Sheffield based team.

Inspection of material using approved NDT techniques in particular Ultrasonic Testing

The Role

The duties of the successful NDT Technician include to:

* Use approved techniques & methods of NDT to defined standards.

* Ensure material is inspected and released with no NCR’s.

* Assist the NDT staff in any training of personnel/ trainees.

* 3rd party witness involvement.

* Any other duties that management deem appropriate

The Person

All applicants for the NDT Technician role must have PCN Level 2.

You will also have:

* Good communication, decision making and report writing skills.

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Be able to read and understand NDT specifications and procedures.

The role will require you to:

*

* Perform in-house and on-site NDT techniques as required by the customer at all stages within the production route.

* Ensuring material is inspected and released to company quality requirements.
