Account Manager – Southern and Northern Home Counties - Local Government Software

Becoming an Account Manager with Capita ONE:

This is a quota carrying individual contributor sales role with an annual target of £1.5m of new orders. This will be achieved through the sale of additional software modules, professional services and additions to annual maintenance spend.

The position is in the Local Government Sales Team which is responsible for sales of Capita One’s education, revenue & benefits and digital solutions.

The territory is London and Northern Home Counties, there will be a portfolio of around 30 existing customers. The focus of the role is account development and growth rather than new logo. The task is to build strong relationships with customers and understand their needs in order to position and sell Capita One services resulting in maximising our wallet share and the value that we deliver to customers.

What you will do:

* Build and execute a sales plan to over achieve target
* Maintain high levels of customer facing activity with influencers and decision makers to generate and progress sales opportunities
* Build strong relationships at multiple levels across the customer base.
* Articulate the specific values Capita One will deliver in relation to resolving and achieving customers’ key issues and goals
* Work with and engage the virtual team across Capita One (and broader Capita business) to successfully execute sales campaigns and ensure customer satisfaction
* Manage and maintain CRM (Dynamics) records, ensuring an accurate record of pipeline and opportunities and their status at all times

Your experience will include:

* A sustained track record of successfully achieving sales targets
* Demonstrable experience of account development and growth
* Experience of managing and executing complex sales cycles involving multiple customer and internal stakeholders
* Ability to make things happen and get things done in a large organisation
* Significant experience in selling to the Public Sector, ideally Local Government
* Knowledge of the revenues and benefits or education sectors within Local Government would be useful but not essential
* Organised with strong written and verbal presentation skills
