SFR Recruitment Solutions have a new opportunity as a Mechanical Design Engineer reporting to the Technical Development Manager.

Or client is a leading manufacturer of internal and external doors and opening solutions located in the Durham area.

A well known name leading the way in quality and innovation.

Primary objective: Deliver NPI projects outlined by business development needs while still supporting the day to day demands of a dynamic manufacturing facility.

Our client is looking for someone with the ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision, someone who can lead junior designers and deliver presentations to senior manager and directors.

Education and experience:
 Industry experience in Engineering and / or manufacturing
 CAD literate – extensive Autodesk Inventor experience
 HNC minimum in an Engineering discipline

Special Skills :

 Essential – Experience with use of 3D Modelling packages
 Essential – Autodesk Inventor
 Preferred – Project Management experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment
 Preferred – Experience in sheet metal, castings, extrusions, CNC, application of bearings
 Essential – Keen attention to detail
 Essential – Strong analytical skills

Working hours are flexible – 38 hours. Typically, 8am – 4pm with a shorter day on a Friday.
